What is the meaning of life?
If meaning is the same as purpose, the purpose of life (for all who don’t seek to end it) is prolonging it. Most animals do it after death through their children.
Some folk also prolong themselves by making or contributing to what they hope others will keep going—works of art, science, national institutions.
