I was taught, and I believe something we learned in Catholic grammar school.

We were create to know, love & serve God and if we accomplish that we will spend eternity in happiness with our Creator.

The meaning of life on earth is to live a moral & ethical life to be able to enjoy the next life which is an eternal reward for doing the right thing and caring for our follow human beings we come in contact with during our years on earth.
