What is the meaning of life?
I literally don't know what the meaning of life is. Nor am I sure from whose perspective that question pertains. Related questions are what is life and how did it begin. Again, I don't know. And finally, I can't explain nor get my head around the beginning or even the existence of the universe both big (astronomy) and small (quantum physics). I read about and ponder these questions now! Stop! I am making real progress on all fronts.
First, given my limitations maybe, the answers to the above questions are not 100% luck, serendipity, or chance.
Much of what has happened is "explained" by quantum physics and evolution.
Much should be explained by emerging properties of biological over larger and physical systems, but
The rest ... which is not huge remains (to me at least) a terra incognita
